PATRICIA POOLE IS THE OFFICE MANAGER

mvc-019pf.jpg

I was born in Invercargill .  I have been working at Tokanui school for 24 years.  Istarted as a Teacher's Aide  in 1981 and became Office Manager in 1993.  The good things about Tokanui School are the great children and staff.  The school is a community focus.
I became an Office Manager to further my clerical skills and it allowed me to work hours that worked in with my family resposibilities.  It also allowed me to keep in contact with the community.  If I wasn't an Office Manager  I would be a builder or a truck driver.  My favourite pastimes are reading gardening, Guides and spending time with my grand-daughters.
An Anecdote
"One day I had to explain to the Dunedin Hospital staff what a 20L drum of Nutrimol Pro-biotic was, as they thoughtthey could purchase one and make a donation to the school.  It took a while to explain that it was sheep and lamb feed.  Not sure what they feed people in Dunedin."

CALA PAENGA IS A PARA PROFESSIONAL

I was born in Invercargill .  I have been working at Tokanui school as a Para-professional for 1 year.   The good things about Tokanui School are the kids are great.  I get to meet some real characters.  The amazing community involvement and of course the staff humour.  I enjoy working with children, especially being able to have one on one contact.  The hours also mean I have plenty of time with my family.  If I wasn't a Para-professional I would be an artist.  My favourite pastimes are netball, painting, reading and farming.

I was born in Nightcaps.  The good things about Tokanui School are the friendly children and staff.    If I wasn't a Para-professional I would be frustrated bus driver.  My favourite pastimes are netball, walking, music and books.
