I was born in Dunedin and went to Dunedin Teacher's College. This is my 25th
year teaching and have worked at Kauri Park school - Auckland, Alexandra - Central Otago, Homebush - Canterbury, Caversham
- Dunedin, Waimahaka - Southland, Edendale - Southland & Tokanui schools.
The good things about Tokanui School are the great children, parents, grounds & community;
and the friendly, hardworking, fun, dedicated staff. I currently teach the Year 5 & 6 class.
I decided to be a teacher because I liked children first of all, I'd always wanted to be a teacher.
If I wasn't a teacher I would be a town planner (maybe) as I did as much Geography at University as I did Education &
I really enjoyed it. My favourite pastimes are listening to all kinds of music, visiting my father in Mosgiel, friends
in Dunedin & my brother in Lower Hutt. I also enjoy gardening, sewing, computing, reading & walking for exercise
