I was born in Invercargill and went to Dunedin Teacher's College. I have been
teaching for 4 years .
The good things about Tokanui School are the great staff relations and that the whole community
gets behind school events. I am the Y3 & 4 teacher, PE facilitator, Zone co-ordinator and facilitator of all zone
events
.
I decided to be a teacher because I absolutely love inspiring children to do great things.
If I wasn't a teacher I would trevel the world, spend time doing all those things you never get around to, or try being a
farmer! My favourite pastimes are netball, waterskiing, farming, socialising and taking the dog for a run/walk.
An Anecdote
" When I recently moved house, I had a child ask me if I could pick him up on the way past to
school everyday, seeing as I would be driving past! Even though I drive the other way around the block he still says
he can hear me leaving the house which is about 2km away."
